Hemp (Cannabis) is a plant widely used by ancient civilizations prior to milta, due to its sedative and analgesic effects. Although controversial, the breed often has different physical and chemical properties. There are three varieties of cannabis: Cannabis sativa, Cannabidiol and cannabis ruderalis.
The plantation is under state control in many countries around the world and in Turkey. In Turkey, it grows wildly in the border areas of the Inner Anatolia region and culture is also made in the same areas.
The chemical composition of the cannabis plant is quite complex. It contains four chemicals. These contain a total of sixty-six cannabinoids with δ9-THC (δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol) as mono- and sesquiterpenes, sugars, hydrocarbons, steroids, flavonoids, nitrogen complexes, amino acids and psychostimulants.
Scientific studies conducted with isolated cannabinoids show the availability of these molecules in psychotic disorders, anorexia, cashex, asthma, musculo-skeletal system disorder, tumor pathology, arthritis, neuralgia, inflammatory disorder of the gastrointestinal system, neuropathy, dysmenorrhea, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease. In addition to these, many studies have demonstrated that antiglokom has anti-emetic, anti-obesity and anti-cancer properties.
Cannabis is a plant with a versatile use outside of the pharmaceutical industry. The oil obtained from the hemp plant is valued in the production of biodiesel and alcohol, in the cosmetic industry, the machine and paint industry, in human and animal nutrition by obtaining protein from seeds, and in the manufacture of textile industry, paper industry, automotive industry and construction materials.
